How to choose a quality electrician

1. Must be a Registered Electrical Contractor
2. Must have A Grade licence
3. Can supply references
4. Must supply a Certificate of Electrical Safety
5. Must be insured for a minimum of $5 million public liability

Checklist for comparing quotes

1. Are the same quantities of items used
2. The brand of products to be installed
3. The size of cables - (cables are priced according to size)
4. Supply of a Certificate of Electrical Safety
5. Clean up of site after completion
6. Following site specific safety procedures e.g.
working live - which is illegal
using safety harnesses as required on roofs,
using correct manual handling techniques,
using ladders correctly.
